Syed is a native New Yorker. He is currently acting as the Chief Financial Officer for Provision Capital.
Syed holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and a Bachelor’s in Arts (BA) in Political Science with High Departmental Honors with a concentration in Middle East and Central Asian Studies from Hofstra University.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed to practice in the State of New York. He is fluent in Urdu/Hindi and is proficient in Arabic.
Mufti Muntasir Zaman
He graduated from the ‘alimiyyah program of the Madrasah ‘Arabiyyah Islamiyyah in South Africa. He then completed the Ifta program and a course specializing in the field of hadith.
He holds an MA in Islamic Studies from the Markfield Institute of Higher Education in Leicester, England.
He writes articles, book reviews, and translations of classical Islamic literature on his website ahadithnotes.com.
Dr. Sarah Islam
Sarah Islam is currently a Ph.D. student in Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University, where she works on the social and intellectual history of Islamic law under the supervision of Professor Michael Cook. After spending several years abroad on fellowships from the Center for Arabic Studies Abroad and the Boren Program studying Arabic and Islamic legal history, she obtained an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies at Princeton in 2010 with a focus on contemporary Islamic legal practice and social movements. Upon receiving an Arthur Liman Public Interest Law Fellowship administered by Princeton-LAPA and Yale Law School, she worked for a public interest law NGO in Washington DC for almost two years.
Dr. Ashraf Traboulsi
Dr. Ashraf Traboulsi is a Principal Scientist at Proctor & Gamble (P&G) in Cincinnati, Ohio (USA). He has a Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Traboulsi was a founding board member & President of the Ohio-based Syrian-American Foundation, and served on boards of the Institute of Youth Development and the Islamic Center in Cincinnati.
