Arabic 2A: FCA 110 – Fundamental Classical Arabic: Sentences
In this course you will learn to construct sentences, translate and access texts. Additionally, you will learn about the two types of sentences, subject and predicates, adjectives, and words in the state of raf, nasb and jarr along with how to break down sentences while doing translations.
Arabic 2B: RCA 220 – Reading Classical Arabic: Beginner
In this course students will read Qasas Al-Nabiyyn (النبيين قصص) by Shaykh Abu Al-Hasan Al-Nadawi. This text is written in voweled Arabic about the prophets which will help students increase their speed and vocabulary acquisition. During each class students are required to read, translate, and analyze grammar from this book. Additionally, students will learn the concept of weak letter verbs.
Prerequisite: Arabic 1A-2A or Equivalent
