دليل الإعراب
Learn the I'raab system step by step, then practice building statements on your own.
ما هو الإعراب؟
I'raab is the system of grammatical analysis in Arabic. It tells us the role each word plays in a sentence and why it has a certain vowel ending.
When you do I'raab on a word, you produce a statement that describes exactly what the word is doing grammatically. This is essential for reading Classical Arabic correctly — especially the Quran.
الكِتَابُ : مُبْتَدَأ مَرْفُوعٌ وَعَلَامَةُ رَفْعِهِ الضَّمَّةُ الظَّاهِرَةُ عَلَى آخِرِهِ
"The book" — Subject (Mubtada), in the nominative state, and the sign of its nominative is the apparent Dammah at the end.
This is a complete I'raab statement. By the end of this tutorial, you'll know how to build one.
Think of I'raab as answering the question: "What is this word doing in the sentence, and how can I prove it?"
